About Pemaquid Communications
Pemaquid Communications is a Web design studio based in Portland, Maine and founded by Web developer Rob Landry. We provide Web design, programming, search engine marketing and strategic consulting services as well as Web training programs.
We take a user-centered approach to Web design. We try to keep things simple and useful -- Graphic design and programming serve the needs of the person using the Web site.
We apply Web Standards and Progressive Enhancement techniques when developing sites, and all of our sites are developed using best practices for xHTML, CSS and Web site accessibility.
Pemaquid is a leading developer of sites that meet the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative as well as federal Section 508 guidelines for developing software that is accessible to persons with visual and other physical disabilities.
